One character in "Good Ol' Girls," now stomping and whooping away at the Steinberg Center for Theater on West 46th Street in Manhattan, insists that when she was growing up, "Morningstar" was one of her favorite books, along with "Little Women" and "Gone With the Wind."
That choice hints at some complexity (and cultural awareness) on the part of this mini-musical's down-home characters, but the subject is never explored.

Reese Witherspoon gives her special Avon Empowerment sparkler, center-stage with a nearly-nude wash that's a step beyond sheer but not quite opaque.
And she has good reason to let the bauble shine: 100% of proceeds support the Avon Foundation's initiative to end violence against women.
To achieve Reese's 'powerful' nail look, cover a base coat neatly with a single layer of a hue that's a shade lighter than your skin tone and finish with a top coat.

Charlize Theron (Stuart Townsend), Hilary Swank (Chad Lowe), Reese Witherspoon (Ryan Phillippe) and now Winslet, last year's winner for "The Reader."
Toss in Halle Berry, who won an Oscar in 2001 for "Monster's Ball" and soon after divorced husband Eric Benet, and you've got five of the last nine winners.
On the flip side, going back to 2001, only one Best Actor winner, Sean Penn, has separated from his spouse (granted, several were unmarried).

"Unraveling" and "Forever Dead" were the new numbers in the set that didn't stray from Sevendust's fine blend of heaviness and melody.
My highlight of the night was their white-hot rendition of "Denial" replete with screaming guitar harmonics and machine-gun guitar explosions.
The crowd renewed their energy for the encore when Sevendust teased the audience with the main riff of "Master of Puppets" from Metallica and "Walk" by Pantera before knocking out "Born To Die" and "Face To Face".

World Police , the first Hollywood-financed movie inspired by the U.S. invasion of Iraq and its attendant political controversy, South Park 's Trey Parker and Matt Stone dispatched a squad of U.S. guerrillas all in marionette form to take down an Axis of Evil dictator and, in the process, slaughter the real villains of the piece: a bunch of self-important celebrities who had publicly opposed the U.S. policy.
One of these stars is Matt Damon, who is portrayed as such an idiot that all his dialogue consi

After visiting the Cardinals on Friday, Paris Lenon has signed a three-year deal, according to multiple reports.
This is just minutes after the Steelers resigned LB Larry Foote, who was a possibility to fill the linebacker gap for the Cardinals.
The 6'2", 235-pound Lenon took over the weak linebacker position for the Rams after they traded away Will Witherspoon to the Philadelphia Eagles.
